Workplace microclimate and noise measurements
Working conditions are measured, not assumed. We measure temperature, humidity, airflow and noise where people work - and translate the values into concrete measures.

What the service includes
Microclimate
Measurement of air temperature, relative humidity and air velocity at workstations.
Noise
Measurement of noise levels at workplaces and near the main sources.
Measurement plan
Selecting measurement points and timing by process and season.
Evaluation of results
Comparison with reference values and identification of areas that need measures.
Recommendations
Engineering, organisational and PPE measures based on the results.
Repeat measurements
Verifying the effect of measures and periodic measurements.
What we measure, and in which unit.
Every parameter is reported with the measured value, location, instrument and a comparison with the permitted limit for that workplace.

- %Relative humidity
- m/sAir velocity

Frequently asked questions
When should microclimate be measured?
Under real working conditions, ideally in both the warm and cold season, and after changes to the building, heating, cooling or ventilation.
Can measurements be taken without stopping work?
Yes. Measurements are taken during normal work - otherwise the values would not reflect real exposure.
What if values are outside the limits?
The report shows where and by how much reference values are exceeded and recommends measures: engineering (e.g. ventilation, insulation), organisational (e.g. breaks, rotation) and PPE.
Does HSK also measure lighting?
